Why should a Doctor, Researcher, Healthcare Professional, Med Student, Hospital Program Administrator, Media Professional, Legislator or other Professional join our Group?

Learn things you wouldn’t normally see in your practice and keep up-to-date on current research and initiatives. Even if you just have one patient with a connective tissue disorder, this will help inform your care!

Join The EDS & CTD Massachusetts and New England Support Group

What began in 2010 as a 4-person group meeting in the Greater Boston area has grown to over 3,800 members from all over New England and many other places in the world. Importantly, our membership includes luminaries in the fields of genetic and medical research, health professionals from the best hospitals in New England, and State Legislators who understand the needs and strengths of their CTD constituents.

Our professional members will receive a biweekly email newsletter highlighting the latest in research, initiatives, legislation, and events, as well as stories of interest regarding the Genetic Connective Tissue Disorder community.

Professionals are also invited to give presentations of their own work to our support group membership, either in our online Zoom meetings or in-person at the Children’s Hospital in Waltham.

We carefully vet our prospective members in order to ensure a safe, supportive environment in our group both online and in person. If you are interested in joining as a Professional who’d like to benefit from the education and connection that our group provides, please fill in the form below.

Please know that we do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not share names of group members or any other information without our members’ permission. We do our utmost to provide a safe environment and to promote trust in our community.

*Note: Professionals who currently receive our email updates do not need to fill in this form. (If you’re already receiving update emails from us, there’s no need to fill out the form.)

What professionals are saying

“I learn more from your emails in regards to research and what’s going on in the medical community than I do with any other resource.”

— Physician

“As a journalist, I am very picky about which sources I trust and rely on, but I have found the New England support group to be one of the best resources as a professional and also as a person with EDS.”

— Karina Sturm, journalist & filmmaker
